Massive Congratulations Cyrus Villanueva for winning the X Factor Australia 2015! Performing for the last time at the X Factor stage just before the final announcement of winner, Cyrus performed his mentor Chris Isaak‘s original song, Wicked Games, on piano. His earlier performance of this song during the X Factor Australia series earned him Number 1 at both Aria Chart and iTunes Australia top singles. Cyrus has been the front runner of the show and he definitely got the X Factor! Week after week, he received positive comments from the four X Factor judges.

Louise Adams has proved that her voice is really timeless. For the Judges Challenge Week, Chris Isaak picked a classics song for Louise – You Don’t Own Me. Bingo! It was a perfect fit for this South Australian mum. Her mentor James Blunt was relieved and satisfied with her performance after beautiful comments for the other three judges. Notably, Guy Sebastian said: “That was hands down my favorite moment of yours. Everything about that was perfect for you. Judges’ Challenge shakes up the X Factor Australia 2015 competition where Top 6 get sing a song not picked by their own mentor. For Cyrus Villanueva, Guy gave him the classic Guns n’Roses song, Knocking On Heaven’s Door. His mentor Chris Isaak was not happy saying, “It’s one of the worst songs to give a contestant.” But Cyrus was up the challenge and made a beautiful interpretation of this Bob Dylan classic and earned him a standing ovation!  Judges comments are all positive. James Blunt says: “You sing every song absolutely amazingly, I think I’ve caught the Cyrus Virus.”

It was a hard week for Natalie as she lost her voice and struggled to hit the big notes. Overall, the judges comments were positive. Michaela Baranov takes on a Rihanna top song, “Diamonds” that gave her mixed reaction from the judges.  “It felt like an old Grammy’s performance,” Guy said. Mentor Dannii defended Michaela, informing the panel she had suffered a double ear infection this week. “Michaela hasn’t been able to hear everything as we hear it,” she said. “And for me that was the best goddam vocal.” Did  she shine bright like a diamond?
