For the fifth time, Australians voted for their favorite X-Factor contestants and the results were out last night at Channel 7‘s Xfactor Australia 2011. It was another surprise for two acts hitting the bottom two.  First of all, those who have the highest votes and are safe for the next week show are: Andrew Wishart, Reece Mastin Johnny Ruffo, Christina Parie, Three Wishezand Mitchell Callaway.

Ronan’s Boys Team Young Mens Society for the second time were at the bottom two. Surprisingly, Guy Sebastian‘s act Declan Sykes for the first time had to sing for his life to stay in the competition.  When the Showdown started, YMS gave it everything they had as they delivered a slick performance of the Jagged Edge/Run DMC track “Let’s Get Married” while Declan sang Oasis’ “Wonderwall”.

The four judges Ronan Keating, Guy Sebastian, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and  Mel B were evenly divided with both acts receiving two votes each, hence, there was deadlock and they had to go the viewers’ votes to decide who will go home.
