Dean Ray Sings The Black Keys’ Lonely Boy X Factor Australia Live Shows Week 9 Top 5

Dean Ray was first to perform for this week’s Killer Tracks and Curve Balls theme. For his first song, he performed “Lonely Boy,”  a song by American rock band The Black Keys. It’s definitely not one of his best as evidenced by the mixed comments from the judges.

Dannii said: “that rocked. Dean’s Style!” Redfoo was not so impressed “it was good but it wasn’t great.” Ronan said “something is missing in that performance.” Her coach Nat came to the rescue and said: “I completely disagree.”

Marlisa Punzalan Sings David Gueta’s Titanium X Factor Australia Week 9 Top 5

For this week on the X Factor, the remaining top 5 will be singing 2 songs for the night, a killer track and a curve ball. For her first song, Marlisa takes on “Titanium” is a song by French DJ and music producer David Guetta, featuring vocals by Australian recording artist Sia. This is Marlisa’s Killer song choice.

Positive comments from the judges. Nat said: “you really stood up. You did stamp your place in this competition!” Dannii said: “that is what the competition is all about!” Redfoo said: “It wasn’t good…it wasn’t good… that was great! That was topnotch!” Her coach Ronan said “That was incredible. Australia will vote for you!”

The Top 6 Results X Factor Australia are revealed and Australia voted Jason Heera and Reigan Deery at the bottom two for tonight’s Live Decider showdown. Redfoo was definitely shocked with two of his artists at the bottom 2. Definitely, one of his acts will remain and one will go home after tonight’s show. In 2012, he won two Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Who are safe after last night’s performance at The X Factor Australia 2014?

The result of tonight’s votes at X Factor shows how crucial is a vote to a favorite contestant in the competition. There is no one who can be considered safe all the time. Each contestant has to give his/her 100% and ace every performance to get the votes Australia fans. Dean Ray closed the Aussie Week Theme of the X Factor Australia with a brilliant rendition of “Into My Arms,”  a song written by Nick Cave.

Another standing ovation for Dean. The judges comments were all positive. Dannii said: “that was epic! Thanks for coming to this competition!” Redfoo added “that was a tough song to sing and you sang it so good! It was really pure.” Ronan said “Oh man, every single week, you just show so many sides. Love it man!” Her coach Nat said: “Such an honor to have you into the show.”

Brothers 3 takes on Amnesia, a song by 5 Seconds of Summer for this week’s theme, Aussie Week, at The X Factor Australia. They have been consistently delivering fantastic performance week after week. For this particular song, it drew mixed criticism. Perhaps, it’s their weakest performance.  

Redfoo was a bit unimpressed. Ronan said: “I love the efforts. I love the looks.. .but guy’s it didn’t fire. I know you guys know that.” Nat said: “you have massive fan base. It’s about maintaining that certain level.” Their Coach Dannii came to their rescue inviting the audience to vote for Brothers 3.

For this week’s theme, Aussie Week, of the X Factor Australia, Reigan takes on a huge song by Australian legend singer, John Farnham, called Burn For You. Minus the big productions for her past weeks performance, Reigan showed her vocal ability with this acoustic rendition of this song.  

Commenting on her performance, Ronan started of by saying: “It was beautiful. Great song choice for you!” Nat said: “You can do anything, any genre. You really have it all.” Dannii added “Fancy, absolutely classic…but I want to know what artist you are.” Her Coach Redfoo finally said: “Four words.. beau-ti-ful  heart!”

Marlisa takes on a big song for the X Factor Australia  Aussie Week theme. She is singing the hit song of last year’s X Factor Australia winner, Dami Im called Super Love. This song reached number 11 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. A big fan of Dami Im, Marlisa absolutely nailed this big song and she sang it so beautifully.

Positive comments from the judges. Nat said: “What a fantastic performance. When you hit the high notes, it’s breathtaking!” Dannii said: “You rocked it! You’re 14 and you’re so great!” Redfoo said: “I’m still amazed that a 14 year old can sing just like that.” Her coach Ronan said “You absolutely nailed it and I love working with you!”

For this Aussie Week Theme, Country Star Caitlyn Shadbolt sings Bow River, a song by Cold Chisel, a rock band that originated in Adelaide, Australia. Caitlyn was saved from bottom 2 based on votes. She needs to step up her performance and definitely, she did really well on this song.

The judges comments were quite good. Nat said: “you did a really good job tonight.” Dannii cheered with a big “yeehah! Redfoo said “you just country-fied Cold Chisel. I love it. You are a country star.” Ronan added: “You are a country star. Brilliant performance!”
