Sydnee Carter sings ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’ X Factor Australia Live Shows Week 3 Top 11

The judges are still looking for the magic of 16 year old Sydnee Carter who delivered a fantastic performance at the auditions. This week, her Coach Ronan picked a 1979 hit by the British group The Buggles ‘Video Killed the Radio Star.’

The judges comments were mixed. Nat said: “I adore you. That’s a challenging song to sing and you did it beautifully.” Dannii said: “That is a really, really hard song to pull of.” Redfoo added “finally, you put on a fabulous performance! You just killed it.” Her Coach Ronan said “I’m so proud of you Sydnee! You gonna see this song on the top 10 of itunes”

Reigan Derry delivered another sterling performance at The X Factor Australia singing “Chandelier“,  a song by Australian recording artist Sia.  She earlier  performed big songs like Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally” and Britney Spears “Toxic.”

Standing ovation for Reigan! Commenting on her performance, Ronan started of by saying: “you got it! It’s unbelievable.” Nat said: “you are a star! your vocal is outstanding.” Dannii added: “Amazing! One of the hardest song to sing. Congratulations!” Her Coach Redfoo finally said: “I know you were nervous but you came here and it so beautiful and so fabulous!”

Marlisa Punzalan is definitely back in her best singing form for the songs of the 70s, 80s, 90s and Now theme of The X Factor Australia. Despite being sick last week, she managed to pull off  Lady Gaga‘s “Paparazzi.” For this week, Her coach picked a song from the 70s by Olivia Newton John “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” a theme song of the popular movie “Grease.”

It’s a standing ovation for Marlisa. Nat said: “You took me back. Your vocals are amazing. Outstanding!.” Dannii said: “One of my favorites. Brillian job. Great!” Redfoo said: “That’s really remarkable!” Her coach Ronan said “You have what it takes…”

Brothers 3 opened the Music of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and Now theme of The X Factor Australia week 3. This young Brother 3 band is massively gaining popularity in Australia after last week’s performance of  Elvis Presley’s “Always on my Mind.” This week, they performed a Melbourne anthem ARIA top chart song by Things of Stone and Wood‘s ‘Happy Birthday Helen‘.

They started the show with another standing ovation! Commenting on their performance, Redfoo said “what a way to open the show! You’re so fun, so amazing, and sounds so good.” Ronan said: “You made me laugh, you made me smile, and you mead me feel good about myself. I love Brothers 3.” Nat said: “what a perfect song for you. This is outstanding!” Their Coach Dannii said: “Guys it’s an honor to open the showyou do it really well!”

Last night’s episode Q & A at ABC 1 hit Australian news headlines after Clive Palmer criticized Chinese investors as Communist “Mongrels.” On the panel, he was joined by Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss, Labor Senator Penny Wong, businesswoman and Reserve Bank board member Heather Ridout, and John Falzon, the chief of the St Vincent de Paul Society.

Adrien Nookadu had a tough start at The X Factor Australia having been at the bottom two in last week’s elimination. This 17 year old Sydneysider were saved by the judges and now he is back to show Australia that he deserves to be in the competition. Singing a Justin Timberlake song “Like I Love You.” 

The judges comments are mostly positive. Dannii said: “it’s a song that you can compared too…. just have the real belief that you can do it!” Redfoo added: “great song choice… You came back like a champion!” Ronan said “that was incredible!” His Coach Nat proudly said: “so proud and you worked so hard. We need an artist like you! ”
