For her first song of the night, Reigan Derry takes on “Can’t Remember to Forget You,”  a song recorded by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira. It’s an upbeat song that suited Reigan’s voice. After surviving the bottom two  few weeks ago, she is definitely back doing her best to win votes so she will be in the grand finals. The judges comments were generally positive on this particular performance.

Reigan Derry Sings Radiohead’s Creep X Factor Australia Week 9 Top 5

Reigan Derry takes on Radiohead’s smash hit, Creep, for her first song of the night at the X Factor Australia Killer Hits and Curve Balls Theme. Reigan was at the bottom two last week and was nearly sent home. This particular performance attracted mixed comments from the judges.

Ronan started of by saying: “There is no denying that when you sing you are incredible but something did not work for me.” Nat said: “I hated this song for you. It’s too aggressive.” Dannii had a long comment and critique on the “over sexualized” outfit. Her Coach Redfoo came to the rescue to lift Reagan spirit’s up.

For this week’s theme, Aussie Week, of the X Factor Australia, Reigan takes on a huge song by Australian legend singer, John Farnham, called Burn For You. Minus the big productions for her past weeks performance, Reigan showed her vocal ability with this acoustic rendition of this song.  

Commenting on her performance, Ronan started of by saying: “It was beautiful. Great song choice for you!” Nat said: “You can do anything, any genre. For this week’s theme, which is the  ‘Judges’ Challenge,’ contestants are challenged to sing songs picked by judges who aren’t their mentors, Nat picked the song “Dog Days Are Over” for Reigan Derry. This song is the second single released by Florence and the Machine.

Commenting on her performance, Ronan started of by saying: “You are amazing every week. That’s probably the best vocal performance. Unbelievable!” Nat said: “you’ve never disappointed.You deserve a recording contract.” Dannii  added “the whole performance is awesome…good combination!” was impressed with the performance. Reigan Derry is definitely one of the frontrunners of The X Factor Australia. She has the third highest votes after last week’s performance. For this weeks Rock Week, she performed “Boys in Town,” a debut single by Australian rock band Divinyls released in 1981.

Reigan Derry takes on “Stay with Me“, a song by British singer-songwriter Sam Smith, for this week’s  X Factor Australia Top 10 hits theme. ‘Stay With Me” peaking at no. 1 in the United Kingdom, as well as in Canada, and New Zealand. In the United States, It peaked at no. 2 for two weeks on Billboard ‘s Hot 100 chart.

Reigan Derry closed The X Factor Australia first live show last week with a spectacular style singing Katy Perry’s big song “Unconditionally.”  Will she top her performance last week? For the second live show, she is singing a popular song by Britney Spears “Toxic.”

Mixed comments from the judges. Ronan started of by saying: “There is no doubt that you can sing. But there is something on this performance that lost me. It’s not about the voice, it’s about the performance. I felt disconnected.”  Nat said: “I love your voice. I want to buy it. I want to download it now.” Dannii added: “I love how you sang that. It reminds me of Florence and the Machine. Not many people can sing that.” Her Coach Redfoo came to her rescue saying: “I do not know what Ronan was watching. That was the best things I’ve ever seen all my life. It’s a start of Reigan revolution!”

Reigan Derry is a serious contender of  The X Factor Australia title. She is from Sydney. Before X Factor, she was a gigging musician singing in pubs all around Sydney. She take the X Factor center stage with a fabulous production with a Katy Perry’s big song “Unconditionally.”

Reigan received fantastic comments from the judges. Ronan commented: “I felt I didn’t just watch an X Factor contestant performed. I watched a superstar performed on her own right.” Nat said: “What you delivered on the stage is your heart, your soul, your passion, and your extraordinary wonderful voice.” Dannii said: “Amazing voice. You deserve every bit of it!” Her Coach Redfoo added “I’m so proud of you because you work so hard. You’re such a talent.”
