Sydnee Carter Sings “Say Something” X Factor Australia Week 4 Top 10 Live Shows

16 year old Sydnee Carter is definitely has one of the beautiful voices of X Factor Australia. Unfortunately, she was at the bottom last week. This week, she is taking on a very popular song ‘Say Something,’ a song by American pop duo A Great Big World. This song topped the singles charts in Australia, Belgium, and Canada. 

The judges comments were all positive. Nat said: “that is exquisite. What a great song for you.” Dannii said: “She’s back! Amazing song choice.” Redfoo added ” that was really poetic. I’m glad you took the risk.” Her Coach Ronan said “You did it!”

Rochelle Pitt Sings ‘Proud Mary’ X Factor Australia Week 4 Top 10

“Soul Mama” Rochelle Pitt, performed one of the top 10 hits of the legendary singer Tina Turner’ s ‘Proud Mary’. This song reached #4 on the pop charts on March 27, 1971, two years to the week after Creedence Clearwater Revival’s version was at its peak, and won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Group in 1972.

Definitely a ‘wow’ performance this week. She’s on fire! Danii said it’s brilliant and she’s nailed it. Redfoo said Tina Turner will be proud of this performance. Rochelle has a great performance last week singing the famous song by an X Factor finalist in the UK, Rebecca Fergusson, ‘Nothings Real But Love.’

Tee (Ofisa Toleafa) kicked off the performances with the hit song “Dedication to My Ex,’ a song by R&B recording artist Lloyd, released on August 9, 2011.  This hit single reached the top 5 in the UK, Australia, and Ireland. It also reached the top 10 in Denmark, Netherlands, Austria and Croatia. 16 year old Sydnee Carter from Perth, Western Australia sings a song she has never hear before for the 2nd Live Show of The X Factor Australia. It’s out of her comfort zone but surely, she did her very best to sing a Classic Rock and Roll tune, “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney & WINGS.  

The judges comments were mixed. Nat said: “I love you as an artist. The verses was so sweet but I didn’t like the chorus.”  Dannii said: “I like the softer bits of it. It is where your voice sits pretty.If you gonna do a song, just totally commit to it.”  Redfoo added “you have a unique look and a unique voice but I feel you have more to give and you’re holding back.”  Her Coach Ronan said “Sydney, let’s remember that you’re 16 years old and I hope Australia realizes that. You’ve come so far!”

Reigan Derry is a serious contender of  The X Factor Australia title. She is from Sydney. Before X Factor, she was a gigging musician singing in pubs all around Sydney. She take the X Factor center stage with a fabulous production with a Katy Perry’s big song “Unconditionally.”

Reigan received fantastic comments from the judges. Ronan commented: “I felt I didn’t just watch an X Factor contestant performed. I watched a superstar performed on her own right.” Nat said: “What you delivered on the stage is your heart, your soul, your passion, and your extraordinary wonderful voice.” Dannii said: “Amazing voice. You deserve every bit of it!” Her Coach Redfoo added “I’m so proud of you because you work so hard. You’re such a talent.”

To kick off her music genre,  She performed a Keith Urban’s top country song “Days Go By.” Is Australia ready for Country music?

Caitlyn received awesome comments from the judges. Nat said: “I love seeing you do what you do. Country music is your thing.” Dannii said: “I love that song choice for you… It’s like Katty Perry meets Taylor Swift… I would buy your song!”  Redfoo added “You sounded great. The whole country vibe was just great… great first performance” Her Coach Ronan said “I’m so proud of you. This is who you are. Australia gonna love and vote for you.”

16 year old Sydnee Carter from Perth, Western Australia debuts at  The X Factor Australia‘s stage with a very massive song by Coldplay.  She had a very outstanding audition but made some mistakes in her Bootcamp and Home Visits. Nonetheless, her coach Ronan put her to the Live Shows for her amazing talent and great voice.

Sydnee redeemed herself with positive comments from the judges. Nat said: “You don’t need big notes to stand out. You captivate the audience.” Dannii said: “I have loved your voice since your first audition. Great voice. Great song!”   Redfoo added  “It was beautiful. Her Coach Ronan said “your performance is mesmerizing. Well done!”

Brothers 3 is the Wildcard entry of The X Factor Australia! Brother 3 Band who all grew up in an Aussie farm made it to this year’s  Home Visits but was not sent through to the Live Shows. Australia viewers disagreed and voted Brother 3 to perform live on the X Factor Australia stage as the Wildcard. A second chance for these siblings. They performed a Bruno Mars very popular song “Just the Way You Are.”

Brother 3  got a standing ovation from the judges.Commenting on their performance, Redfoo said he is so excited to see them on the show. “Now you’re back and that incredible!” Ronan said “it’s just brilliant! You just bring so much joy, laughter and fun to the show!” Nat said: “I’m so glad you guys made it!” Their Coach Dannii said: “well done guys. So great to see you here. There is nothing like you in the charts!”
