The four mentors, Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden simply cannot hide their amazement as they listen and watch two great singers on The Voice Australia stage.

Mitchell Thompson is 18 years of age, a singer-guitarist from Sydney’s Northern Beaches. On the other hand,  Fatai Veamatahau is a young 16 year old devout Christian singer from Melbourne, Australia. She is extremely proud of her Tongan roots and beliefs.

It was a very difficult decision for Seal. In the end, he picked Fatai to go to the next round. Watch Fatai Veamatahau and Mitchell Thompson battle rounds performance video below.

The Voice Australia Battles: Prinnie Stevens vs Mahalia Barnes Tainted Love

The Voice Australia battle rounds started last night. Two great voices of each team battle it out on live stage. The four mentors, Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden pick two contestants from their respective list. They will then sing a song chosen by the mentor to showcase their voices.

Perhaps, one of the most controversial showdown battle last night was between Prinnie Stevens and Mahalia Barnes. At the end of their performance of the song Tainted Love, Keith Urban picked Mahalia Barnes to go through. Delta Goodrem and Seal  thought that Prinnie Stevens performed better.  Prinnie and Malahalia’s mentor Joel Madden had to make the decision. He took time out and consulted his brother. It was apparent that his brother picked Mahalia Barnes. But the final decision rest on Joel Madden and he picked Prinnie Stevens to go to the next round. It was end of the road for Mahalia Barnes. Did Joel Madden made the right decision?  Watch Prinnie Stevens and Mahalia Barnes battle rounds performance video below.

The Voice Australia: Rachael Leahcar sings La Vie En Rose

The Voice Australia continues to discover great Australian singers. This time a 17 years old legally blind young lady from Adelaide named Rachael LeahcarThe Voice Australia is somewhat interesting as the judges listens to voice first without looking at the contestant. Rachael carefully listened to the instructions of the production crew as she was led to the platform to sing her blind audition song  ‘La Vie En Rose’  by Edith Piaf.

Rachael‘s  rendition of La Vie En Rose moved the audience and televiewers. It was not hard for the mentors,  Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden to turn around  and wanting Rachael to be included in their selections.

Her short bio at the The Voice Australia says: “Rachael started singing lessons at the age of nine and spent a lot of her childhood singing in Italian as a result of spending time with her Italian grandparents. Rachael can sing in Italian, French and Spanish. She can also play the piano, flute and has sung in multiple choirs. In 2009, Rachael won a singing competition on “RAI Uno” television in Rome and has been doing semi-professional gigs over the past two years for festivals, weddings and charities.” Watch Rachael’s blind audition performance video below.
