BREAKING NEWS: Queensland borders to Shut Due to Coronavirus

QUEENSLAND’S border will be closed from midnight, Wednesday, 25 March 2020.

Anyone traveling into Queensland will be required to self quarantine for 14 days regardless if they are sick or not.

QUEENSLAND has recorded its highest increase of coronavirus cases in a 24-hour period, with 60 new cases confirmed overnight.

Queensland will follow South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory in introducing border restrictions.

Queensland will close its borders as the state government moves to stop the spread of coronavirus. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said her cabinet made the decision on Monday after the state recorded 60 more cases of the disease, taking its tally to 319. (Credits: 7News Youtube Channel)

From midday, pubs, clubs, cinemas, casinos, nightclubs, indoor sporting venues and places of worship must close. Restaurants and cafés are restricted to takeaway and home deliveries.
