Vivid Sydney 2016 kicked off last night! Watch the video below showing what Vivid Sydney 2016 has to offer! It features the iconic Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Custom House, and around Circular Quay area of Sydney CBD. Vivid Sydney is a 23-day “light, music and ideas” festival with large crowds expected to turn out between 6-11pm each night.

Vivid Sydney 2016 First Night Highlights


Vivid Sydney is an annual outdoor lighting festival with immersive light installations and projections in Sydney. Part of the lighting festival also includes performances from local and international musicians and an ideas exchange forum featuring public talks and debates from leading creative thinkers. This winter event takes place in central Sydney over the course of three weeks in May and June. The centrepiece of Vivid Sydney is the light sculptures, multimedia interactive work and building projections that transform various buildings and landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge in and around the Sydney CBD into an outdoor night time canvas of art. Vivid Sydney 2016 kicks off tonight, 27 May 2016! It’s one of the most exciting events in Sydney as we welcome the winter months. Sydneysiders and tourists will enjoy colorful patches of light displays and sculptures at the annual Vivid Sydney Festival in various places at the Sydney CBD with the Sydney Opera House as the centerpiece. This 23-day “light, music and ideas” festival with large crowds expected to turn out between 6-11pm each night.

Iron Boy Saves Sydney!

New South Wales Police joined forces with the Make-A-Wish Australia charity to help transform nine-year-old Domenic Pace into a superhero for the day. Domenic, who has cystic fibrosis, was dressed in a special Iron Boy suit and asked to save the city from the clutches of an evil group, led by Ultron. Watch his adventure!

The show will be on for a month starting on March 17, 2015. Aida is the center stage of the famous Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour that has become a huge part of the cultural landscape, combining all of the things Sydney does best: world-class opera, fine dining, sunsets and spectacle on the harbour’s edge.

A world class act, Aida consist of a team of more than 700 people who are involved in the project. It such a massive production.
