You have the aura of a star!” says Ricky Martin after a very lively performance  of Rihanna‘s We Found Love. Fely Irvine was a regular mainstay of the popular Kid’s TV Show, Hi-5. As an actor, singer, and musical theatre performer,  she has been singing professionally for seven years and has toured Australia in musical theatres as a member of the popular children’s group ‘Hi 5’. She also works as an actor between performances. She is making a name of her own at The Voice Australia 2014 and wanting a solo career as an R’n’B Soul artist.

Fely Irvine named Rihanna, Robin Thicke, Beyoncé and Alicia Keys as her big musical influences. She’s a Filipina by roots and her mother cheerfully supporting on the background while performing at The Voice. Joel Madden desperately wanted her to be in his team but in the end he chose Ricky Martin as her mentor.

Robbie Balmer The Voice Australia 2014Robbie Balmer The Voice Australia 2014 – He is 19 years of age from Brisbane, Queensland.  Singing ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me‘ by Bonnie Raitt mostly on falsetto captivated studio audience and judges Joel Madden, Kylie Minogue, and Ricky Martin turning their chairs.

His Bio posted on The Voice Australia Site mentioned that Robbie believes music goes hand in hand with happiness and has recently swapped his university studies from engineering to music. He performs solo gigs around Brisbane covering artists including his favourites Coldplay, Radiohead, Matt Corby and Jack Johnson.

She is 24-year-old and draws inspiration from big name artists including Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Tina Arena and Marina Prior.
Jess Berney joined and launching her singing career at most popular and most watched reality TV show, the The Voice Australia 2014. She surprised the audience with her angelic performance of the song , ‘Pie Jesu‘  by Andrew Lloyd-Webber on the 2nd week of Blind Audition and had the four judges Joel Madden, Kylie Minogue, Ricky Martin, and will.i.am turning their chairs.

Elly Oh Sings Mamma Knows Best | The Voice Australia 2014

The Voice Australia 2014 has premiered last Sunday for it’s third season. This year coaches are Joel Madden, Ricky Martin and newcomers Kylie Minogue, and will.i.am. These for coaches are battling each other to discover and nurture Australia’s next great voice. Currently, it’s the Blind Auditions where each Coach must select 14 Artists for their team. It’s great to see Australian talents again, young or old, and The Voice Australia is surely a hit reality TV show again.

Introducing Elly Oh

Elly Oh The Voice Australia 2014Introducing Elly Oh. Elly blew away the Coaches with her powerful performance of Jessie J’s hit “Mamma Knows Best!”. Elly Oh is originally from South Korean and loves to sing Opera and also a music teacher teaching students in her garage. Her performance turned the chairs of all four coaches. Each coach battled it out with their very own persuasive comments but in the end, it was Ricky Martin who will be Elly Oh’s coach.

The Voice Australia Battles Fatai Veamatahau v Mitchell Thompson

The showdown between Fatai Veamatahau and Mitchell Thompson is probably one of the best performances as The Voice Australia continues. Fatai and Mitchell performed a very beautiful song entitled I Love The Way You Lie. The four mentors, Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden simply cannot hide their amazement as they listen and watch two great singers on The Voice Australia stage.

Mitchell Thompson is 18 years of age, a singer-guitarist from Sydney’s Northern Beaches. On the other hand,  Fatai Veamatahau is a young 16 year old devout Christian singer from Melbourne, Australia. She is extremely proud of her Tongan roots and beliefs.

It was a very difficult decision for Seal. In the end, he picked Fatai to go to the next round. Watch Fatai Veamatahau and Mitchell Thompson battle rounds performance video below.

The Voice Australia Battles: Prinnie Stevens vs Mahalia Barnes Tainted Love

The Voice Australia battle rounds started last night. Two great voices of each team battle it out on live stage. The four mentors, Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden pick two contestants from their respective list. They will then sing a song chosen by the mentor to showcase their voices.

Perhaps, one of the most controversial showdown battle last night was between Prinnie Stevens and Mahalia Barnes. At the end of their performance of the song Tainted Love, Keith Urban picked Mahalia Barnes to go through. Delta Goodrem and Seal  thought that Prinnie Stevens performed better.  Prinnie and Malahalia’s mentor Joel Madden had to make the decision. He took time out and consulted his brother. It was apparent that his brother picked Mahalia Barnes. But the final decision rest on Joel Madden and he picked Prinnie Stevens to go to the next round. It was end of the road for Mahalia Barnes. The Voice Australia: Rachael Leahcar sings La Vie En Rose

The Voice Australia continues to discover great Australian singers. This time a 17 years old legally blind young lady from Adelaide named Rachael LeahcarThe Voice Australia is somewhat interesting as the judges listens to voice first without looking at the contestant. Rachael carefully listened to the instructions of the production crew as she was led to the platform to sing her blind audition song  ‘La Vie En Rose’  by Edith Piaf.

Rachael‘s  rendition of La Vie En Rose moved the audience and televiewers. It was not hard for the mentors,  Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden to turn around  and wanting Rachael to be included in their selections.

Her short bio at the The Voice Australia says: “Rachael started singing lessons at the age of nine and spent a lot of her childhood singing in Italian as a result of spending time with her Italian grandparents. Rachael can sing in Italian, French and Spanish. She can also play the piano, flute and has sung in multiple choirs. In 2009, Rachael won a singing competition on “RAI Uno” television in Rome and has been doing semi-professional gigs over the past two years for festivals, weddings and charities.” Watch Rachael’s blind audition performance video below.

The Voice Australia: Karise Eden sings It’s A Man’s World

Sydneysiders, are you watching The Voice?  This  is the  new Australian reality talent show that premiered on the Nine Network  last Sunday, 15 April 2012. It is basically a singing contest  and the series consists of three phases: a blind audition, a battle phase, and live performance shows. The Voice has a world-class pool of mentors that includes  Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden.

Watching the Replay of the show last night, one performance is a standout. Karise Eden performed and sang  “It’s A Man’s World” that brought The Voice Australia audience standing and the four mentors racing to press their red buttons. Karise Eden is from Woywoy in Sydney’s Central Coast. She is 19 years of age and has had a tougher life than most teenagers. Karise Eden was A State ward who grew up living in more than 20 refuges. This once very shy girl found music after being fostered to a loving family who owned a music store.

Karise Eden performance brought tears to her foster parents and surely touched the liveshow audience and television viewers. She is through to the next round and will be coached by Seal. Watch her performance below.
