LIVE Performance Dami Im Sound Of Silence (Australia) Eurovision Grand Final
It’s a fantastic finish for Australia for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Former Australian X Factor Winner and now a successful recording artist, Dami Im has come second in the Eurovision song contest, wowing the crowd in Sweden with her performance of the song, Sound of Silence. With her Dami Army at her back including hundreds of students at her former school, John Paul College in Logan, south of Brisbane, leading the cheering, Dami Im stellar performance was definitely loved by 200 million fans of one of the biggest stage in the music industry.

Dami Im topped and dominated the jury votes consisting 50 per cent of the tally — and she was the clear favourite to win until the closing minutes of the competition with the public vote. A stirring song by Jamala from Ukraine ultimately won the contest with 534 points. Australia followed with 511 points.

X Factor Winner Dami Im Sings O

X Factor Australia winner Dami Im was back at the yearly big Christmas event in Sydney, Carols in the Domain, performing O Holy Night. Carols in the Domain is Australia’s largest free Christmas concert. It has been running for  32 years of Christmas celebration and features top Australian artists This free concert was aired at Channel 7 Australia. In an emotional night to remember, the Carol in the Domain was a perfect event to heal a city celebrating life and special dedication to the hostages and victims of the siege, 38-year-old barrister and mother of three Katrina Dawson and 34-year-old Lindt store manager Tori Johnson.

Dami Im is back at the X Factor Australia stage! A South Korean-born Australian singer, Dami Im won last year’s  fifth series of The X Factor Australia. She performed on stage a live version of her new single Gladiator.  She describes this song “Gladiator” as “basically about this girl who wants to fight for a boy’s love. Well it can be a boy or a girl, but I sing it so it’s a girl [laughs]. It’s like, “I’m gonna fight for your love, I’m gonna be like a gladiator, strong.” It’s about empowerment. You don’t usually expect a girl to sing about being a gladiator because usually that’s a male thing. But there’s also another meaning behind it — if you see the video later, it will be more clear, but it’s about fighting for yourself, for your confidence, loving yourself, and fighting to achieve that.”
