Brothers 3 Sings 5 Seconds of Summer’s Amnesia X Factor Australia Week 8 Top 6

Brothers 3 takes on Amnesia, a song by 5 Seconds of Summer for this week’s theme, Aussie Week, at The X Factor Australia. They have been consistently delivering fantastic performance week after week. For this particular song, it drew mixed criticism. Perhaps, it’s their weakest performance.  

Redfoo was a bit unimpressed. Ronan said: “I love the efforts. I love the looks.. .but guy’s it didn’t fire. I know you guys know that.” Nat said: “you have massive fan base. It’s about maintaining that certain level.” Their Coach Dannii came to their rescue inviting the audience to vote for Brothers 3.

For this Aussie Week Theme, Country Star Caitlyn Shadbolt sings Bow River, a song by Cold Chisel, a rock band that originated in Adelaide, Australia. Caitlyn was saved from bottom 2 based on votes. She needs to step up her performance and definitely, she did really well on this song.

The judges comments were quite good. Nat said: “you did a really good job tonight.” Dannii cheered with a big “yeehah! Redfoo said “you just country-fied Cold Chisel. I love it. You are a country star.” Ronan added: “You are a country star. Brilliant performance!”

Jason Heerah Sings Guy Sebastian’s “Like It Like That” X Factor Australia Week 8 Top 6

It’s Aussie Week Theme at the X Factor Australia! The remaining Top 6 contestants will sing the biggest songs of Australian artists. Jason kicked-off the show with “Like It Like That“,  the first single from Australian pop, R&B and soul singer-songwriter, Guy Sebastian, a former X factor judge. This song peaked at number one on the ARIA singles chart.

Jason did great of this song! A standing ovation from the judges.  Ronan lauded his performance saying:“What a performance Jason! It was electric!” Nat said: “I love it like that!” Dannii said: “that is exactly the attitude to come back after you were at the bottom three.” His coach Redfoo added: “that is Motown quality right there. That my favorite performance from you! Amazing!”

Dannii picked the song “Latch” for Jason Heerah for this week’s theme ‘Judges’ Challenge’, where contestants are challenged to sing songs picked by judges who aren’t their mentors. This is chart topping song by the British garage-house duo Disclosure. 

Commenting on their performance,Ronan started by saying:“You’re amazing. Great song choice.” Nat said: “it was phenomenal. It was stellar!” Dannii said: “that was the best performances for the series.” His coach Redfoo added: “that was one of the best performances I witnessed all my life!”

Redfoo  picked “Stolen Dance” by German duo Milky Chance for Dean on this week’s theme Judges’ Challenge’, where contestants are challenged to sing songs picked by judges who aren’t their mentors.

Another standing ovation for Dean. The judges comments were all positive. Dannii said: “that was perfect! I wanna see you in the final!” Redfoo added ” I love how you always find a way to make a song yours. You’re just such an artist. It’s amazing!” Ronan said “It’s incredible. Well done.” Her coach Nat said: “You did it so well. Incredibly proud of you.”

Last week was a close call for Country Star Caitlyn Shadbolt after she landed on bottom 2.  She needs to step up this week to avoid this similar situation. For this week’s theme, ‘Judges’ Challenge’, where contestants are challenged to sing songs picked by judges who aren’t their mentors, Nat picked the song “Still Into You” is a song by the American rock band Paramore.

Commenting on her performance, Nat said: “you can actually sing any genre… that just like country music.” Dannii was unimpressed with the performance. Redfoo said “you took this challenge and I love your commitment. You gonna make it big time.” Ronan said: “you are absolutely a country star.”

Commenting on their performance, Redfoo said: “OMG! That was incredible!” Ronan added: “You guys never let me down. That was fantastic! Nat seemed did not like the performance. Their Coach Dannii was so pleased with the performance.

X Factor Australia’s Country Star Caitlyn Shadbolt  performed “Closer to the Edge,” a song written by Jared Leto and performed by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. Caitlyn did a great performance of a Lady Gaga hit song “You and I.”

Commenting on her performance,  Nat said: “you handled yourself so well.” Dannii said: “it was a cool song to sing. you were rocking on that. Congratulations!” Redfoo was unimpressed and said: “a horrible song choice.. probably your worse performance.“

Brothers 3 emerged as the front runner of The X Factor Australia as revealed in last week’s Live shows. It’s Rock Week and they performed “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall,” a song by British alternative rock band Coldplay.  Brother 3’s performance of ‘Hey Brother’ hit the iTunes Chart for the first time. They are the last remaining group act of the competition.

Commenting on their performance, Redfoo was not impressed and said: “Great song choice.It sounded great but not for the rock week. I felt offended!” Ronan passed on the “Cranky Pants” title to Redfoo and loved the performance. Nat said: “Boys your on your element!” Their Coach Dannii said: “Guys, we are looking for artist that can sell albums! This is you.”
