Jimmy Davis delivered an awesome rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams that had the judges and crowd impressed and earned him a spot to the next round of The X Factor Australia. Jimmy is 21 years of age from Cooran, in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. He will be mentored by Chris Isaak of Under 25 Boys group. Watch how he did it.

Maddison Milewski made it to the Bootcamp of Girls Category (age under 25) of Dannii Minouge as mentor.  She’s up for the 5 Chairs Challenge. Maddison, a former Voice Kids Australia finalist, needs to impress Dannii to get a spot in the top 5. Performing a very challenging song “Unconditionally,” Maddison did what she could and she earned a spot and she was through to the next round of the competition. Watch how she did it.

Cyrus Villanueva made it to the Bootcamp of Boys Category (age under 25) of Chris Isaak. Now it’s the 5 chair challenge. 5 boys have already been selected. Cyrus Villlanueva need to put up a convincing performance to dislodge one of the boys already sitting on the 5 chairs. With the piano that had been set up, Cyrus performed a very moving song that took him to the next level. Watch how he did it.

Here’s a video that looks back to the journey of  Sixteen year old Reece Mastin at the  The X Factor Australia 2011, from the day of his audition until last night’s victory of winning the X factor Australia 2011 title and a recording contract .

Reece Mastin also shared his thoughts about his best and worst time at the competition. He said that the worst part was when he sang against Christina Parie, his best friend,  in the competition. He has been one of the favorites to win the show after delivering flawless and strong performances night after night.

Reece Mastin Wins X Factor Australia 2011 Title

The moment we had been waiting for has come to an end. After 10 weeks of X Factor nights of live shows, Australia voted and have chosen the winner of the X- Factor Australia 2011. The votes were revealed  and it was so close with only 1% separating the winner and the runner up.

And the winner is the 16 year old rockstar Reece Mastin!  40 year old  Andrew Wishart, was the runner up.

Sing and dance sensation Johnny Ruffo finished third.

What? Sixteen year old Reece Mastin singing with Aussie Superstar Kylie Minoque? What a huge break for this young man. Reece Mastin closed last night’s  Grand Finals show of The X Factor Australia 2011 with a duet with Kylie Minogue.

“Kylie Ann Minogue, is an Australian recording artist, songwriter, and actress. After beginning her career as a child actress on Australian television, she achieved recognition through her role in the television soap opera Neighbours, before commencing her career as a recording artist in 1987. Her first single, “Locomotion“, spent seven weeks at number one on the Australian singles chart and became the highest selling single of the decade. This led to a contract with songwriters and producers Stock, Aitken & Waterman. One of the highlights of the Grand Finals of the X- Factor Australia 2011  is for the finalists to perform live with a superstar. Andrew Wishart had the privilege to sing with the well know band, The Fray.
