Traveling to Sydney is incomplete if your travel itinerary does not include The Three Sisters Blue Mountains in Katoomba. It is one of the most visited spectacular landmarks in Blue Mountains. It is situated at Echo Point Katoomba. It is around 2.5 kilometres from the Great Western Highway. Millions of visitors or tourist visit The Three Sisters each year.
The Three Sisters is basically a rock formation. Aboriginal legend says they represent three sisters who were turned to stone. Their names were Meehni, Wimlah and Gunnedoo who lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe. The Three Sisters measure 922, 918 and 906 metres tall respectively. This rock formation is over 3000 feet above sea level.
